Community Love: Belonging Beyond Valentine’s Day

A few words from The Chairman

As we enter Valentine’s week, we’re reminded that love doesn’t belong to just one shape, one couple, or one moment. Love lives in community — in care, support, and showing up for one another.
When we don’t realise we are loved, we can act from a place of doubt or loneliness. But together, we remind each other: we are seen, we are valued, and we matter.
Valentine’s Day may centre on couples, but community is where connection grows — where friendship, chosen family, and shared kindness hold us steady.
If you’re spending this Valentine’s on your own, know this: you are part of something bigger. You are loved

Blogger's final notes
This week, Weston-super-Mare is hosting a number of LGBTQIA+ friendly events — offering chances to connect, share space, and feel part of something affirming. If you’ve been thinking about stepping out, this could be a lovely time to do so.
And if not, that’s okay too. Community doesn’t disappear when we need rest. It’s still here, holding space for you.
