Pride Season

Hello everyone, Pride Season has begun! Whoo!
Words from our Co-Chairman

On 22nd May 2025, Pink Hub Club was born.
Its intention at that time was simple — to create a Stonewall Day weekend of celebration, and in the absence of a Pride in Weston-super-Mare, to offer an alternative without needing to name it as such.
As Chairman, my vision was to create multiple meeting spaces that welcomed everyone — places that would not only entertain, but exist without toxicity. Spaces filled with good people. Friendly people. Real people.
Places where those in our community who have never truly felt safe could finally relax, connect, and just be themselves. Because a single “safe space” is never enough — true belonging comes from the freedom to choose.
In many cities, LGBTQIA+ venues exist in numbers — perhaps fewer than they once did, but still visible, still vital. In Weston-super-Mare, that visibility has been missing for too long — and that simply shouldn’t be the case.
From the Midland Hotel to The Blues Bar, Coco’s, Loves, The Loft, Electric Banana, and The Front Room, a network of venues has begun to emerge — each playing its part in creating something bigger than itself.
Alongside them, community-led spaces and groups are rising — Queer by the Pier, Wonky House — adding depth, identity, and grassroots energy. And when venues like The Royal Hotel openly say, “If you’re in trouble, come to us — we will help,” it sends a clear message: this town is changing.
Pink Hub Club was never just about events. It is about building something the community can rely on — a visible, connected, and growing network of safe, welcoming spaces where people don’t just attend… they belong.
Now, with Weston-super-Mare Pride breathing life into what this has always been about, we stop waiting for permission.
If we can, we do.
If we can’t, we don’t.
But we will not stand still.
We will not be invisible.
And we will give this town the Pride it deserves — no matter what it takes.

Pride Update 2026

WSM Pride organisers have released brand new merch especially for this year's pride. Featuring 12 different flag designs, the collection gives everyone the chance to wear their pride loud and proud. And if you needed even more temptation, Terra has kindly shared an unboxing video giving everyone a first look at the new goodies.

Even better? WSM Pride is currently running a social media competition where one lucky winner can bag a FREE mug and T-shirt bundle. Entries are open until 30 June, so there’s still time to get involved.
But the excitement doesn’t stop at the merch. The Weston Pride website has officially been updated with the full June programme, including details for Pride Weekend, accessibility information, and the organisation’s latest crowdfunding campaign.
Here’s What to Expect on Pride Day
Pride Day kicks off with the Pride March, assembling at Princess Royal Square from 11:15am before making its way through the town centre and into Grove Park. We encourage everyone planning to march to register in advance.
From 12pm until 6pm, Grove Park will transform into a full Pride festival packed with live entertainment, community stalls, activities, and spaces designed to make the event welcoming for everyone.
There’ll also be dedicated quiet spaces and accessible facilities to help make the day as inclusive and comfortable as possible. And because Pride energy doesn’t stop at sunset, the official afterparty — Pier Pressure — will take over Electric Banana from 9pm until 3am.
Accessibility Remains a Huge Focus
One of the biggest priorities for WSM Pride this year is accessibility. The team is currently fundraising for a raised viewing platform for wheelchair users, helping make sure more people can fully experience the performances and celebrations throughout the day. Supporters are being encouraged to donate through the organisation’s crowdfunding page and help make the space a reality.
Between the new merch, expanded programme, community events, and continued focus on accessibility, WSM Pride 2026 is already shaping up to be a beautiful celebration of community, visibility, and joy.
